I recently got re-hooked on American Idol. The past few seasons I haven't been able to watch for one reason or another. But this season I am making the time! There is just something cooler about the fact they can play their own music and show some deeper musical talent than before.
Who are some of the forerunners in my opinion? Oh wait, you didn't ask. Well, that doesn't matter because I'll tell you anyway! I am into Michael Johns because he just has an amazing intensity and I love his voice. Next, Carly Smithson because that girl can sing! She kind of reminds me of Sarah McLaughlin in her ability to hit any note whenever she wants it. I like David Archuletta too because he is really good, but he's a little bit cheesey in his song choices. I like Brooke White's voice too but am not sure if she'll go all the way. David Cook is really talented yet he bugs because he's totally cocky about it. Duh.
The rest of them can just go. Especially Kristy Lee. bleh. She's awful.
That has been my little escape lately. Watch a little Idol and put my feet up so they don't start to swell up like last pregnancy!

i heart michael johns! i actually went completely nerdy and bought one of his songs on iTunes. Thus, I heart michael johns to the tune of $.99! i am a big brooke fan, too. i like her style. i thought "love is a battlefield" was amazing.
oh, and carly. the judges are so harsh on her. she can do no right, and i think judges are totally affecting her ability to stay in this thing. simon rallying her clothes last night was sad. boo.

abby, our family is way into idol, and has seen every episode of every season except season 1.
that said, i have to call you out on liking michael johns for his voice. yes we all know that he has a good voice, but even better than his voice are his smokin' hot good looks and aussie accent. who even notices anything else? i mean let's be serious here.
kristy lee cook has survived on a wing and a prayer for far too long and needs to be GONE.
anyway there is always more to say when it comes to idol but i will leave it for now.

I used to be such an idol-addict in college, but I haven't seen any of it for a few seasons now.. sad story, but I'm hooked to plenty of other shows, like dancing with the stars, bachelor, oprah's big give and many more that i can just watch online!
Okay, okay...Kirsty Lee bites the big one, but I hafta say that I don't like Carly. She can belt it, but I hate "total Eclipse of the heart" and she had to go and sing that!!!ug!
I really like Jason castro, "college dorm room singer" maybe, but I like his style and Brook is good, she's had a few bad song choices though and I agree, I'm afraid she won't make it to the end.
Everything else I agree with too. It's funny how that show draws you in. Lyndon even likes it too.
Oh, I'm so happy that people I love and admire also watch American Idol. We haven't always been fans of the show but not only are we way into it this season, but now our innocent little sons are watching it with us AND having opinions about it. That being said...get rid of Kristy Lee...she is just taking up room. David A. is cute but I actually commented out loud tonight that his song choices are way to "brady bunch sunshine" for me. Carly I have no feeling for, Michael I think might make it to the end and Brook I like until those faces she makes at the end when the judges are talking to her.
