Afton named him Bob. He is an odd shaped fellow with sad eyes, but what can you do. Then Jared and Afton made a snow cave for a really small person.
The rest of the day Afton referred to the snowman as "my Bob." Then she started singing "Have you seen our Bob?" to the tune of a Madeline cartoon where they sing, "have you seen our dog?" Her singing repertoire has expanded to include any song she has ever heard plus several songs she has made up to either her own random tune or by borrowing a tune from another song.
Little Ben slept through all the snow fun, not even knowing what he was missing.
I was also really ambitious last week and decided to try my hand at making a variety of Christmas cookies for our neighbor gifts. We are lucky we don't know very many people here yet, so I only had to make one batch of each. My professional helper was with me all the way. (here is the naked truth: this is what she looks like most of the time. hair messy and food on her face, p.j.'s still on at 10am. -sigh-)
We made candy cane cookies, chocolate caramel cookies, chocolate dipped pretzels, and even my family's famous fudge. It was fun because it has really helped me get into the Christmas spirit. And helped me gain those few more pounds I have always wanted to gain. Um, yeah. Right.

Looks delicious.. I sure wish we were still neighbors so we could get some of that!! Yum! Afton is too cute, BTW!
Oooooh, fudge!! That looks good! Those candy cane cookies look so perfect, too. I wish I knew the tune to "Have you seen my Bob?" because that is so hilarious.
Man, I wish you guys were a little closer!! We will have to come bug you sometime soon.

Wow, you look all professional making that fudge. I've been meaning to thank you for making us such yummy treats. Everything was soooo good. I hope we don't get booted off the list next year when you guys know a few more people. :)
Looks like fun in the snow! We made a snowman yesterday too. Perfect snow!
Impressive is all I can think to say. I didn't even do neighbor gifts yet this year...What, I still have two days to figure it out!
I'm so impressed. I can only manage one treat at a time. Your neighbors are lucky folks. (Ha, I love that I said folks.)
That looks so good. Yum Yum. And fun too. How lucky are your friends!? Wish I lived close. I would come say hi to Bob and eat a candy cane cookie
You look rad with all the chocolate on the table, like a master Chef.
Hi, Bob. Impressive candy works. You could become a choclatier.
