Too sad

I am too sad to write anything today except that we have LOST all our pictures for the years 2005 and 2006. Our backup disc inexplicably erased ALL of our photos. That means I lost the pictures of Afton's birth and first year. The only ones I have been able to recover are a handful of low-res ones that I emailed out to family. I cannot even begin to explain how sad I am about it. So much for backing it up. Don't count on WD Passports (our external hard drive). They are lame.

Oh my gosh! How sad... We had bad luck with Josh's WD Passport as well. He lost a ton of stuff from Iraq- not nearly as important as a baby's birth and first year, but apparently those things are absolutely not dependable. I'm so sorry..

Abby,
I'm so sorry for you all. That really stinks. I hope you can miraculously find some pictures somewhere you didn't know you had them. Truly, my heart breaks for you guys!!

I'm so sorry Abby. We had something similar happen but not with any important pics. Just some silly ones that we had taken of ourselves before Mackaylee came along. My heart is breaking for you. I wish I could help in some way. Oh, we're coming up to Boise this weekend. I want to come see your little guy (oh..and you too! LOL!).

Good to have that reminder. The thought makes me cringe and I am really feeling sorry for your loss. Wow.

I am so sorry. The other day I was looking for our backup disc of Eric's birth and first year, and couldn't find it anywhere. Matt looked, I looked, I started crying. Then, For some reason Matt looked inside the old VCR that we havn't used for a long time, and there it was. Anyway, long story to say, I think I know how you feel for a little bit...I am so sorry!
