It's so good to be back

Talk about withdrawal! I had to go a week and a half without internet at home and have now come up with a slightly disturbing theory. It felt like I had lost an integral part of my brain that was somehow necessary to keep my sanity and humor about me. Could it really be true that my brain (already somewhat shrunken in abilities since having kids) got more boring for not having the internet??? Since keeping a sense of humor and being relatively sane are both very important things to me, I guess it is true that being able to get on the internet makes my brain work better. Hmm. Who would have thunk...
The other thing though is that I was still busy with kids and those hobbies (which I have written about before) to the extent that I wonder when I had time to fit in all my dedicated email checking, blog surfing, and general google inquiries that I was so in need of before internet failure. Hmm again.

And now on to some typical updates. We have been trying to not go cabin fever crazy around here. I think this is a general theme for everyone right about now. There was one day last week when the temperature soared to 60 and I had those kids outside and at a park before you could say "get on your boots" (thanks u2).

This last weekend we had our friends the Astons from Burley to visit. It was so fun to see their adorable new baby Beckett and catch up on all the good times of our favorite small town. Afton loved holding Beckett, of course.

These next photos I am putting up because I like them. They make me smile. And since the internet is both keeping me sane and making me smile, 'nough said.

Okay, first understand about the internet. Second, picture with Ben in the backpack reminded me of the Christmas Story, "I can't put my arms down!" Love it!

It was great to see you- I realized when we were an hour out of Boise that I had forgotten the DVD and the play mat- I'll just get the DVD from you next time I see you- No need to ship it... Thanks for finding everything for the play mat.. I was so sad that I had forgotten it!! Beckett really seemed to like it...

Glad you're back! I am laughing so hard at Ben in the backpack! That is so cute! Afton is looking so much older all the time-- it is amazing what a week will do!

No internet?? Panic...and yet sometimes I wonder about the simple life...
Could those kids be any cuter--or blonder? They're like little rays of sunshine in the cold winter!

Afton's very pretty and that's a great shot of Ben in the backpack. And Jared's pretty too.

Oh welcome back. I would be lonely without the blog posts. I hate to admit how much time I spent at my computer.

Abby,
You make me smile! I loved this post, as I have often wondered how the pioneer women did it without the computer/internet loveliness we have today. As I was scanning down the page at the pictures you posted because they make you smile, I actually laughed out loud at the pic of Ben all done up in the backpack. SO CUTE!!! Glad you're back, and glad we all get to be saner because of our lovely internet...three cheers!!
