A very special day

June 20th is a super special day around here. It is not only Father's Day this year, but it is Grandma Jan's birthday AND Ben's birthday! Ben turned 2 today. We're so glad he's part of our family!
Ben is cool. He loves being a kid. His favorite song right now is Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and sings is all day long (sometimes gets the words right, but mostly just makes the song his own). His favorite toys are cars, trains, airplanes, balls, and anything that can crash with a big sound. Ben loves to run fast, but not if you want him to. He likes to go at his own pace. He talks all the time and we understand about 50% of it. I'm sure whatever he is saying is very interesting, but we'll have to wait for the translation. Ben giggles and plays hard, sometimes pushes kids he doesn't know at the park for no real reason, loves to snuggle and give loves, and most of all he is simply adorable. I can't seem to get enough of how cute our little boy is. Even when he's pulling a massive tantrum, we sure love him. Love those cheeks and how he dances to music, love how he growls like a monster, love how he says "Hold on!" to me when I'm getting him ready in the morning, and love how he is fearless going down slides at the park and the pool. Happy 2nd Birthday Ben!

My mother-in-law was kind enough to let us arrange the inducement that day for Ben on her Birthday AND come help us at the same time! Even though that was two years ago (how time flies!) I still feel grateful. Jan is one of those women that you just look at in awe because she has raised five amazing children of her own and countless others along the way, is totally balanced spiritually and can answer any gospel question from her years of study. Plus she is beautiful and vibrant and is good at tons of things. Wow! She's amazing. Happy Birthday!

Now on to Dads.
My Dad is awesome. He has been my hero my whole life. I can't even really begin to describe how grateful I am for him.
My husband is the best father to our kids that I could ever even hope for. It shows in how much Afton and Ben love being with him. Every waking minute they want to be around Jared. It's cause he loves them so thoroughly!
My father-in-law is also amazing. He is so supportive and loving. I have always felt totally accepted by him. That is a great feeling.
My brothers and bros-in-law: fantastic Dads. All of 'em.
