Afton had a blast playing on her soccer team with Jared as the coach. The team was really great, a bunch of cute kids that all wanted to play and have fun. Afton really improved and by the end was bold enough to score a goal at her last game!
The boys and I took advantage of the perfect spring weather and did fun daily outings. We took bike rides and visited some neighbor ponies
we met up with friends to walk along the river path
We caught a couple little league baseball games to satisfy Cade's obsession with all things sports
It was also the wrap up of Ben's preschool experience. He got to do a little program where he showed off his great singing skills and was just a cute little kid.
Afton finished up her 1st grade year by getting an academic award. Go girl! She LOVED her teacher this year and was really sad for school to end.
The kids ran wild at the elementary school carnival. They ate tons of ice cream and got all sorts of cheap-o toys that they promptly broke or lost.
We planted our garden, complete with a Nazca line spider, ala 1st grade history
But that is not all! My Dad got remarried right after Memorial Day so we got to head to Utah for a fun-filled trip visiting family and enjoying some big parties! I messed up and didn't take really any pictures. Ahhh! Here are the only ones I got:
Me and the kids at my mom's graveside
Hiking at Bridal Veil Falls
Here I am at the temple with my sisters after my dad's wedding and one of the happy couple
There were massive parties that included copious amounts of food, bounce houses, pony rides, lots of family, and a balloon maker that blew our socks off. Happy times! Next up, the month of June!
