Cade turns 2!

I am excited to write this post because it is about one of my favorite subjects: Cade.  This little boy has been such an amazing addition to our family.  He is like a magical balm of joy that slips its way in between all the right spots to make things better.  Cade has grown to be a clever, sweet, coordinated, goofy, loud, tenacious little boy.  I can't call him a baby any more because he just isn't.  But he'll always be my baby.
Every day that I get to hang out with my little man he surprises me.  One day I'll find that in the split second I turned my back he'll have climbed to the back of the couch and is flinging himself off of it to do a flip in the air and land on the cushions.  Then he'll surface with a huge grin on his face and ask, "See?"
Next he'll insist on picking out his clothes for the day or make sure I am getting the table set the right way.  Or he'll just be out in the back yard practicing basketball or baseball or soccer all by  himself.  I have never seen a two year old with the mad sports skills like this one.
He has Afton and Ben completely wrapped around his finger.  And with the innocence of a child he uses their love to unite them.  No one can diffuse an argument faster than Cade as he will give a hug (more like a tackle) or make them giggle. When he is sad his sister and brother are eager to comfort him.  It warms my heart.
Cade is a climber and he thinks he is a big kid.  Putting those two together make for some funny and kind of dangerous scenarios.  The other morning while I was showering and having the good ol' TV be the babysitter I got a surprise.  As I came out to check on them, I saw clues that Cade had been at work.
The stool was moved to the counter, the bag of cereal was gaping open, the thief was caught red handed!

When I tell him I want to take his picture it turns into a game of how many goofy faces can he pull as I snap pictures.  He loves to make people laugh.

Cade had a fever of 101.4 on his birthday so he was very subdued most of the day.  But he still got excited about his presents and his cake.
Look at his concentration here.  This is how seriously he takes sports.  While burning up with a fever he had to get in some practice. :)
He was very excited to get some cars!  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!
We love our Cade!  Happy 2nd birthday Cadinski, Ca-diddle, Cadorade!

Happy birthday Cade!! Love the nick-names, and HELLO!!-- that first silly face picture reminds me of MANY pictures of his father like that!! What a grin! Nope-- not a baby anymore. My little man still lets me call him "my baby" but adds on "but I AM a big kid now, right?" Happy B-day!
