The month of September flew by with lots of school fun and lots of football. The kids are loving their classes at school and are making great friends. It is totally satisfying as a parent to see them enjoy this time of their lives. And since they are gone for long stretches of time, we try to make the times we are all home together more special and interesting.
There is nothing like a late summer flash storm to create a great impromptu water party. The warm water was coming down so fast that our street filled up like a swimming pool. The kids did not need a moment to think about what they wanted to do!
We have spent many evenings in the back yard playing lots of football. Ben has also had a chance to be on a flag football team and he loved EVERY second of it. Cade was Ben's constant practice buddy and I don't think a day went by without some sort of football game going on inside or outside the house.
We got to spend our Friday nights watching Ben's team. The first game was so awesome. Kids were running the wrong way, teammates were pulling their own flags, etc. It was so entertaining that no one even minded that our team got creamed. :)

I loved laying down in our flooded street in Twin. Best memories.
