Halloween 2013!

Halloween has turned into a week long celebration this year.  We did a trunk-or-treat with our ward the weekend before Halloween

then there were class parties, a playgroup party, and finally the big night itself with trick-or-treating at City Hall and in the neighborhood.  Whew!

At least the kids got to wear their costumes plenty of times.  They loved it and we have about 15 lbs of candy to prove it.  Here they are with their cute jack-o-lanterns.

Afton was a Turkish Princess thanks to the awesome costume Grandma and Grandpa brought home from Turkey a few years ago.  She wore a big long blonde wig that was her exact same hair color and it was crazy to think what she'd look like with super long hair.

Ben was Han Solo and played the tough guy part well.  We noticed all the grownup men had a great reaction to his costume, probably because most men think Han was the coolest character. Ben was really good at his swagger and I think he liked wearing his shirt buttoned down so low.

Cade was Robin, aka Batman's sidekick.  But he doesn't think Robin is a superhero, he thinks he's a bad guy.  Cade likes bad guys.  He wore the mask and called it his "bad guy" and the cape his "super" and walked around with a menacing face on.

Happy Halloween!

Love the costumes and the poses the kids made in them! So hilarious. Always good to get so much use out of the costumes.

I can't believe they are in shorts for some of those pictures! We are freezing. I love your new family picture on the side bar, you are such a handsome family.

Best costumes! I can't get enough of Ben's attitude. He's a GREAT Solo. :) And because I'm too lazy to post another comment, I loved the earlier pictures of the kids playing in the water. I think my favorite childhood memories had to do with overflowing storm drains. :)
