Fast Healer

One thing he's got going for him is that Jared is a quick healer. It has been just over a week and his lip is getting much better. Here's a picture of my handsome husband who also happens to be a wonderful person, a hard worker, and a fantastic daddy:

We are settling in to apartment life. There are the usual quirks of course. Our upstairs neighbor is a treat. He and his girlfriend usually spend vampire hours awake. We'll hear the music turn on at 11pm and not go off until 5am. And they must be practicing for the WWF smackdown because we'll hear them running back and forth across the apartment and then a huge crash like they've jumped down off the ropes for a neck breaker or something. Awesome.
The other quirk is more funny. The previous occupants not only left their smoky smell, but they left burn holes in every floor surface in the place. Afton is really into counting to ten lately. So the other day I turned around to find her crawling on her hands and knees counting, "One, two, free, fies, six, senben, eeet, nine, ten!" as she pointed out the burn marks in the dining area carpet. I'm not so much worried that she routinely leaves out the number four as I am that she has a fondness for the black little burn marks all over the place. We are pretty eager to move into a house!
