So in case you didn't hear we had quite a crappy weekend. The thorn in my side acted up and I hit the deck face first. This caused my top lip to tear - on the red lip up the middle to the white lip. Abby rescued me and when she got me up and ready to go to the emergency room she found that the apartment complex, we hope to move out of shortly, had booted our car. She called a good friend of ours from law school who rushed over and ran us to the emergency room. I was pretty out of it for most of this time, thank goodness because I bet it was painful. The doctor gave me about 6 stitches on the front of my lip and three on the inside. Thanks to Chad for being willing to rush to our aid.
I have not been a pretty sight for the passed few days and continue to look like a scarecrow. Mom rushed up and helped us keep things sane and then helped us to settle in. So if the next time you see me and I am not as pretty as usual because I have a crooked upper lip you will know why. But I am going to be ok, and I love my wife and my mom. Abby continues to be my rock and my hero. Thanks for all of your prayers.

I am so sorry Jared! I'll be thinking of you guys. Hope you get settled in and meet some great friends. That always makes life easier..especially for you Abby, home with the kiddos!
Hey there, bro. We sure love you and hope that things start looking up really soon:) You can just make up some really crazy story for your new scar. "I was a stunt double for a new Steven Speilberg movie....."
I'm so sorry you're going through all of this- This too shall pass! You guys are awesome and we all miss you so much down here. The girls started talking about you last night and a couple got a little emotional. They really really love you! Thanks for making such a difference in their lives. I know you're going to make some awesome friends up there and everything will start going your way! Love you guys!
I'm so sorry about what happened. Hopefully with time you'll get a better taste of Boise in your mouth. So far it seems like Boise is attached to a split lip, cigarettes dropped on your porch, and boots on your car. It'll get better I promise.
Sorry to hear it, Jared. I hope things look better soon. I know that you will be alright.
I love you Bro.
Did you know that a scar gives a guy a manly rugged look? I mean just think of what it has done for Harrison Ford. I am sorry for the pain and frustration that comes with your thorn. Our thoughts are with you through this move.
