Deep thoughts and some not so deep

I have been trying to think deeper lately into the things that go on in my life. Trying to be involved in the community, my ward, and social issues. Trying to really be more Christ-centered. Trying to finish projects, lunch, my sentence. Things like that.
I think because I am trying to glean more from my life, I also accidentally can be a little over-thinking and a bit ridiculous. For example, you know the little code you have to type in when you are posting a comment on some peoples blogs? Lately they have been on my mind. Here's the one that set me off: falic. Seriously? Come on! Then I got an andst, and a forpo. Strange, right? Andst got me thinking about angst. Forpo got me thinking of Harpo, or in other words Oprah's empire. And I have serious issues, or should I say angst, about that whole mind power thing she has over the general population. Scary stuff.
On another note, I have really been thinking about how grateful I am for the freedoms I enjoy as a citizen of the USA. I felt such gratitude on Veterans Day for all those who have given up a bit of their lives to secure my freedoms. Did you know that the reason Veterans Day is on Nov 11th is because World War I ended at the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month? Thanks Vets!

You know, I didn't know that about the 11th hour, 11th day, 11th month thing until this year when Josh told me that- So I just found that out on Tuesday. Josh had a busy day- as usual speaking at various schools-

We miss you guys- I was so sad that we didn't get to see you a couple weekends ago- I'm so sorry we missed you- Its been way too long! Josh is headed up this weekend, but I'm staying here since my baby shower here is tomorrow night. We sure miss you guys though!

Dang - I totally had a funny code the other day when i commented and was chuckling to myself but now I've gone and forgotten it.

Thanks for posting about Veteran's Day. I think we all need to really honor the day. I love that fact about Veteran's Day.

Abby, you make me laugh. Now you've got me thinking about the word verifications, and I've never thought of them before...thanks a lot! I too am scared of the Oprah effect. She has too much influence on the world. Sometimes she does nice shows, but a couple of years ago my Grandpa helped me "see the light", and steer clear of that woman!

That is funny about the "words"-- they are a little strange and now I will think more about them!! Oprah's priestcraft scares me too. I can't stand her.

Thanks for the thoughts!

Here is a new one--
"spioc", it is probably a Russian gardening tool.

Good deep thoughts. I can't manage them lately.

I just know I fail the dumb word verification way too often. How in the world is that little boy standing by himself in that picture? Is he older than I think? Now I will be pondering that.

It makes me smile, thanks.

This is so funny because I was contemplating the other day how few deep thoughts I have. I'm always on the brink of trying to just survive one thing and gearing up for the next that I don't really leave much time to sit and think. I feel inspired!

My security word for this post is "knollis"...any thoughts on the meaning of that one?
