And the kitchen sink...

Today topped off the last few months of Afton making me laugh. She is a typical 3 year old with lots of pretending, dressing up, and emotions to go through each day. I have been told over the last few months on many occasions to take her picture. I get out the camera, she poses, and we get a little slice of what it is to be Afton. Today she had loaded up her wagon and stroller with tons of seemingly random things and had ordered me to help her wheel the stuff into her bedroom where we were going to have a "super fun" picnic. I admit I don't always pay much attention to the collections of things she stuffs in her various wheeled carts, strollers, wagons, and baskets each day. But today something caught me and made me stop for a laugh.

Not only had she packed food, blankets, my cell phone, and tons of other stuff, she had packed the kitchen sink!

So this post is dedicated to Afton and her creative little mind that sometimes makes me crazy but always keeps me on my toes. Here's a smattering of her outfits as of late. Today she informed me we needed to take her baby for a walk and that I needed to get Ben in his stroller so we could leave immediately. She was wearing the teal leotard (purple underwear peaking out of the bottom), six bows in her hair (strategically placed), two necklaces, pink-lens sunglasses, and socks and shoes.
A friend of mine recently said she wanted to make a sign that she could put up for everyone to see that says, "My 3 year old dresses herself!" just in case someone wondered how a mom could come up with some of the outfit combos that make it in public.

She's sooooo cute! You should make a shirt with this saying! At least that would be fun to read and look at your kid!

You are a very wise mother. Think how this could be used as black-mail later on in her life.
Actually, it is very healthy for her to be so free and inventive!!

I need the same sign for my two year old! She must be related to Afton.

I actually had the same idea for a sign with my kids. Especially when my boys insisted on wearing their superman underwear on the outside of their clothes. This was very funny to read. Afton is a riot
