Friends Reunion

With a lot of planning and some coaxing of husbands, two of my favorite friends and I got all our families together for a weekend of camping. We had so much fun!
We headed to a mid-point for each of us: Lake Cleveland outside of Albion, ID. Some of the highlights included: reuniting with two gals that have heavily influenced my life for good (oh how I love our friendship!), having our hubbies meet again and get along again, having the kids all play together and enjoy it, staying warm in a tent, late night talks around the campfire with lots of s'mores, playing on the lake, yummy camping food, plenty of car issues, a fierce wind, and many good memories made. I can't wait until we do it again!

Michael and Jared made sure the kids all got a chance to fish. Nothing was caught, but they still all loved it.
Afton loved looking for worms while Ben threw about a bazillion rocks into the lake.
Jared fully enjoyed his one-day fishing license:
Our little raft rocked. We'll never go to a lake again without a raft. Here's Mel with Sam and Simon paddling against the wind, while Simon yelled "Man overboard!"
Jana, Jason, Eliza and Jared enjoying a little campfire relaxation:
Mel showing Afton how to play Crazy 8's. My daughter loved being with Mel, who totally entertained the kids the whole time.
It was a great way to spend the Labor Day weekend!

It was so beautiful up there. We had so much fun. We definitely need to do that again! I hope Afton is keeping up her Crazy 8 skills so I can challenge her again when we get together next. Wish we lived closer and could do it more often.
