Stuff we have done lately...

We went to Jared's cousin's wedding reception in Weiser a few weeks ago.  It was fun to see family and support them. 

Afton loved seeing Keely in her wedding dress and decided to get some glamour shots taken of her own.  Little kid vanity is kind of funny. 

This one shows Ben's new buzz cut.  I started out by trying to give a trim and then an unfortunate turn of the head at the wrong moment made for an super short side which just couldn't be covered up with more trimming.  Jared suggested we just buzz it off.  He took a bit to get used to it, but he looks really good now and he appreciates how much cooler it is to not have a mop top.  (I miss his floppy hair still.)

On our last rainy day of spring we headed to the kids science museum.  They all loved the hands on exhibits but the kid shopping area won out for favorite spot once again.  We spent a lot of time here.

Even Cade got in on the action.

For Father's Day the kids gave Jared breakfast in bed.  Ben refused to show anything but his best side for the pictures.  Jared is the best daddy ever.  The kids are stuck to him like glue every moment he is here.  They prefer his company to pretty much any other game, treat, or person.  It is really sweet to see how much they love him.

Cade has taken to sports like crazy.  He is in love with playing basketball.  He'll pick up this huge basketball and roll it up his face in order to get it high enough to dunk in the hoop.  This is my favorite trick that he does and he'll do it over and over and over.  Then he'll pick up the baseball bat and a ball and try to hit it.  Anything to be like the big kids!

 And to round off this long post, here is our new favorite watering hole.  It is on the banks of the Boise River just a few minutes from our house.  It is free and it is fun.  Afton had the great idea to make a kiddie pool for Cade so he wouldn't walk into the river.  It was a great project for Ben and Afton and it kept Cade contained.  Fun for all.  Now doesn't that just make you all want to come and visit us super soon??  The offer is always open. :)
