Afton recently got an academic award at school. She got a special certificate and recognized in front of the other kids in an assembly. It was cute. She was grinning from ear to ear and wrote a little sentence in her notebook that said, "I had a great time at school today becus I got a awrd!"
We're proud of our smarty pants. Here she is with her awesome teacher Ms. Watson and her Excellence in Linguistics certificate.
Ben is doing really well in preschool. He read a book to us the other day about Pam and Sam. I am so impressed with how he has learned to blend sounds to read!
Cade is actually saying some words now. Our favorite it when he tackles Afton to the floor and then shouts, "Got you!" It is also really cute when he is playing cars with Ben and he points to Ben and giggles and lovingly says, "Beee" (which we think is how he says Ben's name).

I wish that I had a certificate for "linguistic excellence." Nice work, all of you.
Such cute little kids! Love those kind of parenting moments. Makes the other "not quite as fun" parenting moments worth it!
