I just went and had to go through the motherly pain of watching my newborn get repeatedly poked with big old needles and scream his head off. I HATE that. I know it is painful for the baby and it is physically painful for me. There is a place in my heart that seriously hurts when he cries like that.
He got weighed and measured too and I am now fully justified in saying he is a big boy. He weighs a whopping 13 lb 9 oz and is 23 1/2 inches long. I went home and pulled out Afton's baby book to see what she was at two months. Not even close. In fact, they have identical stats when she was 4 months old at the size Ben is now. He has gone through 0-3 month clothes that he has worn once. And the best part: he is the happiest little chubba-bubba you've ever seen. Last night Jared and I enjoyed a moment on our porch with just Ben as he boy belly laughed. It was very cute.

He is such a babe!! I love him! He is catching up to LO really really fast. L only weighs about 19.6 lbs!
What color are those eyes going to be? Any predictions?
Looking back on things, I now know that we are given these very special moments to carry us through the times they are so brain-dead (especially in their teens) that we'd put them out with the garbage if we could.

That's so great he's growing so good! What a little trooper. I like the new pic up top as well. Have you guys moved into your new house yet?
We close this Friday - I hope - and will move sometime mid September. The nice thing is we are moving about 2 miles away.

i hate getting immunizations! sometimes i wonder if the trauma is really worth it...i know the sicknesses they protect against are horrible, but shots w/i hours of being born! there's a nice "welcome to mortality."
anyway... he's a cutie!
