We had our first day of school! Afton has been invited to join a little co-op preschool. Funny story actually: Because we have such a little talker on our hands, our neighbor thought she was 3 years old (when she's not even 2 1/2) and invited her to be in a once a week group. So, she's now in a preschool with a 3 1/2 year old girl and two 4 year old boys. I was a bit nervous to see how she'd react with older kids, but she was a champ! They learned each others names and did some fun games and crafts. One part was to get to know each other so they asked each other questions. When Afton was asked what her favorite food was, she thought about it and said confidently, "pancakes."
I hope she'll be able to enjoy this early entry into school and have an outlet for her ever expanding vocabulary.
In other news, we are working every spare minute on our house and hope to move in in about a week!

Oh my goodness... that seriously caught me off guard to see my little Afton with all the school stuff in the picture! She does have quite the vocabulary! Can't wait to see you this weekend!

How fun! I'm sure she will love it! I've been thinking about trying to start up something like that here, only there are no kids!

Oh my little girl is getting all growed up! She looks so cute. Can't wait to see you all again. I am a little grandkid starved right now.
It's about time you got that kid off the streets and into a school house.
They are such pretty children! I love her crafts and how happy she looks! Hooray for school.
