Oh, what do you do in the summertime?
I like to stay inside in the air conditioning, that's what. I have realized that A/C has now become an essential part of my summer. The past five summers I have lived with only those silly window units that cool about two feet in front of it. But this summer I put my foot down. Actually it was a pregnant foot, swollen and hot, so it made more of an impact. We moved into this dumb apartment but at least it has central a/c. Ah yes. Even now that my internal temperature is normal, I have enjoyed it. So why do I bring this up? Well, we are only two weeks away from closing on our new house and the good news is, the house has central air conditioning!!! But that is just the tip of the cold iceberg. We are going to have a back yard, space to walk around, a real sized kitchen, and two master closets with room for more than just a dozen hangers. Hallelujah! I am very very excited. Here's what the house looks like from the outside.
We are going to do some projects inside so interior pictures will come when I can. Any ideas about decorating? I am looking for some inspiration.

Hey Abby. Hermana Hamm here. I found you through the blogging grapevine. Your kids are darling, love your new house. I WANT A/C! Fun to be in touch!
congrats!!!! having your own home is so wonderful! expensive, yes...but wonderful! (we are just putting the yard in ours...yikes!) congrats on the ac. i hear you loud and clear...that's why we lived at wyview when we were still at the y. this girl wasn't even going to consider being in wymount cuz they didn't have ac. and yep, i was prego then too. last year i kept the house freezing until our little one was born too. my poor father in law froze every time they came over. i had no problem lending him a blanket or something...i just had to be able to sleep at night. can't sleep if i'm too hot.
