After all our talk of wanting to go camping more often, we finally went this year! It was an awesome, spur of the moment one-nighter. Thanks to the Andrus family who invited us along and showed us a gorgeous spot about an hour from our house, outside a little town called Crouch. We have kids the same ages and luckily they all get along (most of the time)!
Our best accomplishments of the trip:
1. I only got one bug bite. Miraculous.
2. The kids actually slept really well all night long
3. We had a blast!
Here we are getting ready to make s'mores.

Here are Afton and Sophie bravely plunging in the cold-ish river.

Looks like fun! I want to go camping just so I can make smores!!
LOL!! I love Afton's expression in the river picture!! Those trees look so pretty too:)
Looks like fun. I'm jealous. We haven't been out camping this year as much as I would have liked.
That Afton is sure a cutie. She makes me want to go a cowgirl hat to wear around! Glad you had a good time!
That looks so fun. And I haven't even heard of Crouch. Go figure. AHHH to don a cowboy hat and soak in a cold river. What a life
Talk about cute hats! (btw, I got Boo's in the boys dept at children's place:) I was distracted for a moment after the part where you and the kids slept all night...explain this concept to me--and in the wild? Will I ever sleep again? Looks so fun and I could reeeally use a refreshing creek at my place right about now:)
Great location. Glad it went well.
that stream looks refreshing.
