Our latest accomplishments

It is with absolute joy that I can report that there are NO diapers being used in our house right now!!! This is the first time in almost four years that we are diaper FREE. Ben is potty trained! It has taken awhile and he is not totally perfect yet, but I'm still very proud of him. Thanks to Elmo and Lightening McQueen for their pivotal roles in the process. Also a big thanks goes to Afton because she basically did it for me. I don't know what I would do without her as a third parent (a role she gladly takes on ALL the time). Yeah Ben!
Yesterday we got to fulfill a long-awaited moment for Afton. We registered her for kindergarten. All day long she was counting down the minutes, hours, second, nanoseconds, etc for the time to go to the school. She was literally bouncing with excitement. The neon green shirt they gave all registrants was just an extra boost to her joy. She proudly walked from station to station to demonstrate her excellent academic abilities, passed her eye exam with flying colors, and carefully memorized every detail of the kindergarten room so she wouldn't forget it for the next five months. Needless to say, we are excited for the big school phase to start around here. :)
Jared is working hard at his job and enjoying some different responsibilities. It's a nice bit of change after three years of sameness. I also have switched job duties and am working less, more flexible hours from home. It's nice.

As I waddle around anticipating #3, I miss my mom and wish she were around to give me some advice on what to expect and to be able to brag to her about all the fabulous and truly amazing things my kids are doing and saying every day. We have no idea what we'll be naming this little guy. I'm hoping one day soon we'll get an epiphany about it. Maybe my mom can help out a little in that category...

And finally an update on ballet: Afton is adorable. 'Nuf said.
