Cade Bryant Stubbs

We are so happy to welcome little Cade to our family. He was born on May 4, 2011, weighed 6 lbs 9 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. He's perfect!

On the 4th I woke up feeling contractions and decided to see how frequent they were coming. They stayed at about an hour for the morning, then after noon they started to come more and more frequently. By the time Jared came home from work and the kids were at the neighbor's house at 4pm they were coming every ten minutes. We decided to get to the hospital then even though they weren't exactly super close. Being that this was the third time around, I'd heard that things could progress a lot faster so it would be better to get to the hospital earlier.

By 4:30 we were checked in and I was very seriously asking for my epidural. By 5:15 the epidural was in, but I wasn't feeling the effects yet. By 5:40 I was ready to push. And our sweet, perfect boy was born at 5:53!

It all went very fast, so fast that the epidural kicked in AFTER the birth. So here's to me for having a natural child birth and then being numbed out for the recovery. ha ha

Cade has been very mellow so far and is really just the cutest little baby we've seen (since the birth of our other two, of course). Moments after he was born:Warming up after his bath:

Afton and Ben were very excited to meet him. They each took turns holding Cade and did a really good job being gentle.

The day after Cade was born, my little sister came to help. Here is her first meeting of the little dude:She was so extremely awesome to have around! Afton and Ben took advantage of every minute she was here.

Since we're obviously still working on not having almost every single picture come out blurry... more photos to come later!
